Jembatan Merah, The Red Bridge

At this area has occurred the biggest war in the Java past time. At November 10, 1945, three months after Indonesian independence declaration was manifested, broke out the Surabaya massive war at Jembatan Merah zone. In this place also died the enemy general, Brigade General Mallaby.
Nearly from the bridge there is China town area, the area fulfill with unique Chinese decoration and architecture buildings, this area also well-known as a very busy marketing area.
