Musi River

Musi is a river that streams in South Sumatra province, Indonesia, stretch out for 750 kilometers, it’s the longest in Sumatra Island. Since Sriwijaya empire time, it has been famous as major public transportation facility. At the bank of the river there are Bom Baru Harbor and Sultan Mahmud Badarudin 2 museum. Musi River divides Palembang Town into two partitions, the southern as upper course area and northern ones. Musi River with the other smaller rivers make a delta nearly Sungsang town, while the Musi springs is situated in Kepahiang region, Bengkulu province. Also, Musi River is known as mouth of nine big confluent, they’re Komering, Rawas, Batanghari, Leko, Lakitan, Kelingi, Lematang, Semangus, and Ogan Rivers.
When we are going along to the river, we can see many citizen dwellings and they are activities, like Rumah Rakit, PT. Pusri, Pertamina, Bagus Kuning town site, Lawang Kidul Mosque, Ki Merogan Mosque, Kuto Besak Fortress.
